At any age, many minor benign skin irregularities can appear… They can be anything from skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas, broken capillaries, pimples, blackheads, seborrheic

keratosis, or sebaceous hyperplasias; they are often jokingly referred to as “barnacles.” Although not worrisome, they can be a bother to many. The Skin Classic also treats skin tags. Although these little annoying tags and vessels continue to show up throughout your lifetime, you now have a simple and affordable procedure available to you. Cape Cod Skin Care® has state-of-the-art technology for those of you who would like them gone!

This cutting-edge technology treats these irregularities without a laser or a scalpel! The Skin Classic is a high-frequency device utilizing direct high frequency to enable quick, precise treatments of these minor irregularities. Usually, only one treatment is needed. In some cases (usually capillaries) a second treatment may be required. There is very little discomfort but for those more sensitive we do offer lidocaine* prior to treatment. How does it work? The Skin Classic device is used on minor skin irregularities. Treatment of minor skin irregularities begins with cleansing the skin to more easily identify minor skin irregularities. The probe is used to tap the skin to barely touch the surface of the skin. Electrical flow treats the area of concern with little discomfort Treatment is very quick and well-tolerated. You will see results immediately. Is there any downtime? No, but the skin does need to heal. After treatment, the skin will form a dry patch or small scab. Make-up can be applied immediately afterward if desired. Healing time depends on you. It can take as little as 5-7 days to heal. During that time it is important to “baby” your skin with gentle products. We will instruct you on the recommended post-treatment care. You will also be sent home with aftercare instructions. A follow-up will be scheduled for you at which time we will monitor your skin’s improvement. How long does the procedure take? Treatment is 15 to 30 minutes. Discomfort is minimal. Patients have noted excellent results. Healing is relatively quick often surpassing time expectations. We do not treat warts or moles of any kind with this device, and strongly recommend that you have a yearly skin check with a dermatologist.
